Maintenance General Technician

Position Summary:

The general maintenance technician is a full time position. The individual will be versatile in several areas and will deal with many tasks in a day. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of general maintenance duties as well as carry out general repairs on the building including painting and plastering, amongst other tasks. She/he must also be able to carry out electrical and plumbing works.


Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct general maintenance upkeep works of Spinola Park such as plastering and painting;
• Perform scheduled maintenance of electrical systems and trouble shoot electrical issues;
• Carry out maintenance of HVAC systems
• Periodically monitor and service plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (door locks, flushings, etc.)
• Carry out checks on security and fire systems
• Deal with tenant maintenance requests

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience working in a similar role
• Experience working in a Maintenance Department within a commercial building
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Experience in electrical and plumbing works
• Previous experience in troubleshooting techniques
• Excellent ability to communicate issues to both co-workers and management in order to determine causes and solve them accordingly
