• Be the key contact of the warehouse operation for all import / export activities
• Prepare and maintain the required record keeping associated with trading and shipment of goods
• Liaise with other departments and third parties to create orders, obtain approvals and coordinate production, preparation, loading and unloading of orders
• To perform follow up on orders, dictating any special arrangements in terms for delivery, and ensuring that expected deadlines are achieved
• Ensure that incoming goods are stored in accordance with company requirements
• To ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner
• To be updated on warehouse inventory levels to ensure that space is used effectively and efficiently
• To schedule and coordinate the use of the company loading bays

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics environment, particularly in the import/export activities
• To be familiar and updated with customs clearance procedures and loading best practices
• Forklift truck license
• Ability to perform inspection of incoming goods and label accordingly
• Ability to work without supervision, motivated and a self-starter
• Good time management and excellent communication skills
• Effective organisation skills
