Cashier - full time or reduced hours

Due to our expanding activities, we are looking for a Cashier on a full time or reduced hours basis.

Responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring customer transactions are processed promptly and accurately;
• Pro-active approach and ability to handle issues;
• Establishing or identifying prices of goods against system;
• Keeping abreast of all sales offers, promotions and membership conditions etc;
• Accepting cash, cheques, or bankcards for payment and complete transactions according to
established procedure;
• Issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers;
• Processing merchandise returns and exchanges;
• Generating cash related documents and account reports;
• Balancing cash drawer and receipts, documenting and reporting discrepancies;
• Overseeing cash transactions, cash reconciliations and other accounting duties according to company policies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, good communication skills and a good working knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of Shireburn accounting software would be considered an asset.
