Insurance Customer Service Clerk

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can excel in providing our customers with a sterling service, to join our team as an Insurance Customer Service Clerk. Reporting to the team supervisor and working alongside other team members, the individual will assume responsibility for various insurance related activities.
As a member of the Insurance team the selected candidate will primarily assume responsibility for generic and specific duties including:
-Meeting clients in person and over the phone, providing them with information on Personal Lines Insurance with emphasis on Motor;
-Issuing of quotes and new policies;
-Updating of existing customer policy records and processing of policy renewals;
-Assisting the Insurance team with other insurance related activities as required.
Qualifications
Skills Required
-Have excellent written and verbal skills so as to communicate insurance specifics to customers;
-Possess good listening skills and an excellent telephone manner;
-Have a talent for building rapport with the client and maintaining a trustworthy relationship;
-Be focused, precise and have a strong eye for detail;
-Be assertive and have good time management skills so as to meet tight deadlines;
-Have the ability to assume responsibility and demonstrate an eagerness to learn;
-Be energetic, outgoing, show willingness to collaborate and to work within a team.
Preferred Experience
Insurance exposure at any level is preferred and looked upon as an asset. However candidates new to such a role will also be considered as training will be provided.
