Assistant to the Electrical Technician

• Assist electrician with basic duties, paying close attention to finish tasks correctly, following safety guidelines and regulations.
• Identify and gather the tools needed before commencing a task to complete the job at hand
• Make sure all tools and supplies will put up correctly before leaving the job site so everything can be ready for use the next day.
• Work in conjunction with journeymen, foreman, general foreman in assisting with the electrical projects.
• Fix or replace breakers in circuit panel
• Repair electrical equipment in the projects such as fuses, light sockets, bulbs, outlet and switches using hand tools
• Trace circuits for labelling of breaker boxes.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identity hazards, defects and any needs for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and appliances
• Assist with cleaning and organizing facilities

Qualifications

- Minimum of two years working as an electrician
- Valid license
