We are looking for a responsible, hardworking individual to work in a machine shop.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities would include making precision tools such as jigs, moulds and dies. Candidates will be responsible for carrying out modification or repairs on existing moulds and jigs.
Typical tasks include:
• assembling, fitting and repairing tools
• following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool
• using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders
• using machinery such as lathes, presses, milling machines and grinders to cut and shape the tools
• using 2D and 3D computer aided design and manufacturing software (CAD/CAM)
• using precision measurement instruments

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Basic Maths and English
Knowledge of CAD/CAM would be considered an asset
Ability to use an EDM machine is an advantage

Key skills required from the chosen candidate include:
• Good hand-to-eye co-ordination
• Attention to detail
• Accuracy
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Past experience of work in a similar environment is necessary

Training on the job would be given to the successful candidate.
