Shop Assistant

Gauci Borda in Gzira is looking to recruit a Shop Assistant on a full-time basis. The chosen candidate must be able to speak and write in English (and preferably also speak Maltese), computer literate, willing to learn new-tasks, honest, energetic and hard-working. Must also be motivated, enjoys working in a team and have a pleasant and outgoing personality.

Responsibilities will include:
Operating the Point of Sale and Stock Control computer system;
Maintaining the shop well stocked up and organised;
Checking incoming stock, pricing and stock-taking;
Serving clients (after having achieved good knowledge of the vast product range).

Working days and hours:
Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.30pm and Saturdays from 8.00am to 12.30pm. Shop is closed on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Public Holidays.

Qualifications

No work experience is necessary since in-house training will be provided but chosen candidate must have an eye for detail and enthusiastic to work and learn.

This full-time post is ideal for a young person who has decided to stop studying but is open to new challenges in life and would like to pursue a career in sales and shop management.
