- Welcome and greet guests
- Answer and direct incoming calls
- Inform guests of hotel rates and services offered
- Make and confirm reservations for walk-in guests
- Ensure proper room allocation
- Register and check guests in
- Check out guests
- Confirm settlement of bill
- Verify guests payments
- Issue room keys and direct guests to their rooms-
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all guests at all times
- Maintain and clean and tidy reception area at all times
- Respond to guest queries and requests both in-person and by phone
- Provide accurate information about local attractions and services
- Inform housekeeping when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning
- Monitor all outside visitors to the hotel
- Enforce all hotel rules and policies at all times
Qualifications
Experience is preferable but NOT a must
- Ability to work both in a team and alone
- Professional and strong work ethic
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Customer oriented
- High attention to detail is a must
- Ability to multitask and prioritise
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Effective verbal and written communication in English is a must
- Effective communication in Maltese and/or Italian is preferable but NOT a must
- Ability to deal with conflict situations in a professional manner
- Ability to respond appropriately to diverse customers, guests and colleagues
