FULL TIME SHOP SALES ASSISTANT

As the Retail Sales assistant, you will be involved in the retail of books and associated products from within our stores. Your primary concern will be a strong customer focus but you will also need a good knowledge of the bookshop's stock and of the wider book market in general. You should be able to help customers locate titles and offer information and advice about different books that are available.

The Retail Sales Assistant must provide excellent customer service for all customer needs and purchases.

The Retail Sales Assistant must also assist the Bookshop supervisor in the process of shop merchandising, stock replenishment, ordering, receiving, returning books and pricing.

Qualifications

The Retail Sales assistant may be involved in visual displays of the books to enhance certain products or express a seasonal theme.

Additionally, they must have strong customer relationship skills and have cash-handling and good computer skills.

Additionally, the person in this position must be able to handle and lift boxes.

Ideally the applicant should be able to understand and speak in Maltese
