A multi award-winning restaurant franchise is looking for Commis Chefs to join our fine dining restaurant in Senglea. Famed for its unique dining concepts, the franchise is renowned for its excellence in quality cuisine and kitchen brigade. The restaurant serves Modern Mediterranean fusion cuisine, has an extensive fine wine list and is located within a luxury hotel hosting spectacular views of Birgu City and the Grand Harbour.
We are looking for the perfect candidates who will be employed on a full-time basis and responsible for creative, first class food to an esteemed clientele.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
• Prepare and service all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
• Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
• Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous experience in the Culinary field required
• Relevant certification in a Culinary discipline
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
