HHF Contract is currently looking for a Carpenter Assistant to help fabricate and install custom joinery.

The Carpenter Assistant is required to:

• Follow instructions from carpenters to determine required work according to provided instructions for each project.
• Cut, shape and smooth timber and other materials according to measurements
• Set aside cut materials for use in projects, assisting in placing materials in required places to be installed properly.
• Carry raw materials and finished goods as necessary.
• Gather all supplies and tools at the end of the day, and ensure that they are put away in a safe and accessible place.

Useful Skills:

• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered tools, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read drawings is an asset
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Good knowledge of English
• Good understanding of basic math
• Good physical condition and endurance
• A valid driving license is an asset

Qualifications

Three year experience
English and Maltese mandatory
