The advanced data Scientist works autonomously on the full process from data extraction to presenting the
results to the management.
After defining the project, the candidate will work in cooperation with engineers and database operators to
identify the best data to be extracted from the machines for the analysis. The quality and reliability of the
so collected data is assessed by the advanced data scientist.
Then the candidate will analyze the data with different analytical tools and dependent on the project goal
the candidate will create custom prescriptive or predictive data models to describe the data. Following this
the advanced data scientist assesses the effectiveness and reliability of these models and documents them.
The successful models are deployed by the advanced data scientist in cooperation with other stakeholders.
During the whole project, the data scientist presents the status of the project to the management.
The advanced data scientist also coaches other data scientists in the team to improve their technical
capabilities in the field
Data Collection:
In cooperation with equipment and DIT experts
Quality and reliability analyses of datasets
Perform initial data quality analysis
Data Analytics and Model Training
Model training and dedicated data analytics
Assess effectiveness and reliability of the models
Follow up of the developed tool and analysis if the desired results are reached
Deploy models
Use the tool in all appropriate places for the maximum benefit
Coach other Data Scientists

Qualifications
Qualifications:
MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
Experience in data mining
Understanding of machine-learning and data analytics
Knowledge of Python, R, and SQL; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
Experience with data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)
Strong math skills
Problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication and presentation skills
