General Maintenance Technician

Spinola Park is located in the heart of St. Julians. A number of international organisations are located at Spinola Park who enjoy a high quality working lifestyle with the comforts of being in a green thoughtfully curated place. The project also caters for the general public offering a car park, a supermarket, a food court and additional amenities. A number of high end residential units will also form part of the project.


Position Summary:

The general maintenance technician is a full time position. The individual will be versatile in several areas and will deal with many tasks in a day. S/he will carry out a wide range of general maintenance duties as well as carry out general repairs on the building including, painting, plastering amongst others. The candidate must also be able to carry out basic electrical and plumbing works.


Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct general upkeep procedures of Spinola Park and other tasks as assigned such as plastering and painting
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.).
• Carry out maintenance and servicing of air conditioning systems.
• Monitor plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
• Carry out maintenance tasks for tenants in the building.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Have good knowledge of electricity and plumbing among other technical skills
• Have previous experience in troubleshooting techniques in order to determine exact problems and tackle them accordingly
• Excellent ability to communicate system problems to both co-workers and management for proper understanding
