Plant Operations Assistant

1. Assist with the management of the silos and plant operations on a day-to-day basis.
2. Co-ordinate and plan the plant activities with the sales and credit control departments.
3. Co-ordinate the management of the fleet, loading of bowsers and handling of stock.
4. Assist with the unloading operations of the inbound vessels.
5. Submit daily reports related to the plant operations, stock and maintenance.
6. Maintain existing plant facilities as and where necessary.
9. Incorporates shop floor organization, upkeep of plants facilities and promote best practice of health and safety measures.
10. Responsible for the upkeep of the Company’s’ vehicles.
11. Assist the plant manager.
12. Assist with errands.
Other Requirements
• Preferably has previous experience working within a seaport
• Preferably able to drive a forklift and small heavy vehicles
• Problem solving skills and demonstrated initiative in identifying areas of opportunity
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate
• A self-starter lead who takes responsibility for quality of results and requires minimal supervision
• Able to work flexible hours and during weekends when necessary
