Mechanical Engineer - Production Supervisor

Organize, lead and supervise production team in order to produce company’s products in the most efficient manner in terms of performance, quality and waste whilst ensuring compliance to H&S regulations.

Key responsibilities

Organize and lead production team to ensure production runs smoothly
Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed and take necessary corrective actions as and when required
Ensure that the production areas are kept clean and organized
Control of raw material and finished goods stocks
Collection and recording of data, including preparation of production reports
Perform basic troubleshooting and raise maintenance requests as required
Identify and recommend improvements to processes
Training and mentoring of team members to ensure they perform to the best of their abilities
Collaborate and communicate with other departments as necessary
Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by superiors

Requisites

Ability to lead a team

Fluency in English

Numeracy skills

Basic knowledge of MS Office applications

Mechanical aptitude

Ability to understand, process and convey accurate facts and information

Organizational and analytical skills.


Secondary school leaving certificate

Willing to work overtime, flexible hours or on shift basis depending on operation requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience in leading a team

Possession or willing to obtain Food Handlers Certificate Licence B
