UMI Malta is a modern dining spot, blending Japanese flavours with Mediterranean influences. We’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and help lead our growing kitchen team.
Responsibilities
-Assist in daily kitchen operations and oversee staff.
-Ensure dishes meet UMI’s high standards of taste and presentation.
-Manage stock, ordering, and waste control.
-Maintain food hygiene and safety standards.
-Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.
Requirements
-Experience as a Sous Chef or strong background as Senior Chef de Partie.
-Knowledge of Japanese and/or Mediterranean cuisine is a plus.
-Strong leadership and organisational skills.
-Ability to perform under pressure with attention to detail.
