Shop Sales Assistant

Gauci Borda, suppliers of hardware and marine equipment are looking for a Shop Assistant to our sales team at our Gzira outlet. The selected applicant would be required to work Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.30pm and Saturdays when on duty from 8.00am to 12.30pm. Shop is closed on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and public holidays.
Responsibilities include checking and pricing incoming stock and report any damages or discrepancies, shelving stock, keeping the shop organised, operating the POS, stock control and customer care. Successful applicant must be friendly and be able to work both independently and part of our team. The is a good opportunity for a young person who has completed secondary education, stopped further education and wants to start a career in the marine industry. Qualifications

Must have completed secondary level of education;
Fluent in spoken Maltese and English and written English;
Ability to stand up for most of the day;
Honest, hardworking and very important willing to learn new tasks;
No previous experience is necessary. On the job training will be provided.
