Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer shall be responsible for actively contributing to the growth, expansion, and commercial development of the Employer’s business. The role is outcome-focused and includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

Business Development & Growth
• Identify, research, and develop new business opportunities, markets, and revenue streams.
• Assist the Employer in expanding existing business lines and launching new services or initiatives.
• Support strategic growth initiatives as directed by the Employer.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
• Assist in identifying and onboarding new clients, partners, and commercial contacts.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients to support retention and upselling.
• Act as a point of contact for prospective clients, coordinating follow-ups and communications.

Market Research & Strategy Support
• Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to support informed business decisions.
• Prepare summaries, reports, and briefing notes on potential opportunities and partnerships.
• Monitor trends relevant to the Employer’s sectors of activity.

Liaison & External Relations
• Liaise with third parties, intermediaries, service providers, and authorities as instructed by the Employer.
• Support the Employer in communications with international partners and stakeholders.

Commercial & Operational Support
• Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate internally to ensure smooth execution of new business initiatives.
• Support negotiations and commercial discussions under the direction of the Employer.

Reporting & Accountability
• Provide regular progress updates to the Employer on assigned business development activities.
• Maintain basic records of leads, opportunities, and ongoing initiatives.

General Duties
• Perform any other duties reasonably related to business development, growth, or commercial operations as may be assigned by the Employer from time to time.
• Conduct all activities professionally, ethically, and in the best interests of the Employer.
• The Employee shall not represent themselves as having authority to bind the Employer in any contractual, financial, or commercial arrangement unless expressly authorised in writing by the Employer.
