Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. You will report directly to the General Manager and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

Responsibilities include:
-Ensures ongoing communication with the Hotel Manager and employees, keeping all parties informed of daily maintenance jobs
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks, including painting, snagging, basic electrical, and plumbing work
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Performing preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and facilities are in optimal condition
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment and systems as needed
- Assisting with special projects and renovations as required
- Ensure the inventory is securely stored in line with hotel procedures
- Immediately report any health and safety incident, unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor or manager on duty

Qualifications

- The ideal candidate must have 2 years of similar experience in the field inclding knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar setting.
- Proficiency in painting, snagging, and basic electrical and plumbing work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, public holidays and, if required, night shifts.
- Must be presentable and customer-oriented as the role involves guest interaction.
- Must have a valid driving licence.
