Head Chef
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team, drive menu innovation, and ensure consistently high standards of food quality, safety, and profitability. You will oversee day-to-day back-of-house operations, from stock control to staff development, while maintaining a calm, professional environment in a busy service.
Key responsibilities
• Lead, schedule, and motivate the kitchen brigade to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.
• Plan and develop seasonal menus, recipes, and specials aligned with the restaurant’s concept and cost targets.
• Uphold strict food safety, hygiene, and allergen-control standards, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
• Control inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to minimise waste and stock-outs.
• Monitor food costs, labour, and margins, contributing to accurate forecasting and budget control.
• Train, coach, and assess kitchen staff, setting clear standards for performance and conduct.
• Ensure consistent presentation, taste, and timing of dishes leaving the pass.
• Collaborate closely with management on menu pricing, promotions, and operational improvements.

Qualifications
Required qualifications
• Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen.
• Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
