The company offers fully integrated trading capabilities – from sourcing and storage to delivery – underpinned by robust risk management, compliance, and governance frameworks.

We are seeking an experienced Leading Legal Specialist to support our legal, compliance, trade finance, and commercial operations in a dynamic international trading environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support legal, compliance, demurrage, and trade finance projects in line with business objectives.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts under English law and other applicable jurisdictions.
• Provide legal and commercial advice on cross-border transactions, deal structuring, financing arrangements, and new business initiatives.
• Support the full contract lifecycle, including approvals, execution, amendments, record management, and claims resolution.
• Ensure compliance with sanctions, anti-money laundering (AML), KYC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Participate in counterparty due diligence, vessel vetting, and governance processes.
• Assist with arbitration and litigation matters, including proceedings under LMAA, LCIA, and ICC rules.
• Work closely with the demurrage and trade finance teams on claims management, financing arrangements, and commercial risk mitigation.
• Support procurement, tendering, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic commercial projects.

Requirements

• A degree in Law and relevant professional legal qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
• Excellent written and spoken proficiency in the English language
