Operations Sales Executive - Japanese Speaking

Position Summary:
The Operations Sales Executive is focused on delivering great service to our students at all times by providing product and service information, resolving product and service problems with an outcome that the student appreciates, and by ensuring each students experience with EC exceeds their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
-Acts as the first point of contact and advisor for all Japanese students and visitors to the Centre, ensuring they are all dealt with in a courteous and professional manner, providing the necessary advice and assistance, and effectively dealing with any requests and feedback.
-Collecting of Japanese student testimonials.
-Promoting of student activities assisting Japanese students with their requirements in this area.
-Responsible for ensuring company and regulatory procedures are followed accurately and in a timely manner including student immigration requirements and statutory procedures.
-Continuously evaluates and identifies opportunities to drive process improvements and service applications that positively impact the Japanese students’ experience including management of Student Ambassador Program.
-Responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of Japanese student “firsts” including airport transfers, arrival at residences, and homestay families, or if appropriate liaising with our homestay delivery partner to assign the “best fit” homestay family, first day orientation (in Japanese) and the operational aspects of the students first day in conjunction with other members of the team.
-Assist with the collection of monies owed by the student as informed by finance following company policy and procedure.
-Supporting Japanese students in emergency situations (including outside of normal working hours).
-Helping Japanese students adapt to local culture as well as acting as a translator between students and other EC staff members.
-Keeping updated with information pertaining to locations, services and programmes offered by EC to its clients.
-Participating in EC’s sales efforts to recruit Japanese agents.
-Supporting Admissions team with the handling of Japanese agent bookings, dealing with agent enquiries and giving advice on EC Centres.
-Follow up with Finance regarding invoicing queries from Japanese agents and commission payments to Japanese agents.
-Handling Japanese group quotations and follow up with EC schools.
-Online support for Japanese students at EC Centres in the UK


Education Required:
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Fluent Japanese (written and spoken)
-English – professional working proficiency

Education Desired:
-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration/Management with Modern Languages

Experience Required:
-Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
-Customer Service experience, preferably within an EFL context
-Working in a multi-cultural environment

Experience Desired:
-Experience in client account support
