This is a replacement wheel bearing set for boat trailers, using the standard L44649/10 and L68149/11 taper roller bearing sizes. These are the most common bearing sizes found in galvanised boat trailer hubs, making this a simple like-for-like replacement.
Taper roller bearings are critical for smooth wheel rotation and proper axle alignment. If you’re noticing noise, heat, or play in your trailer wheels, worn bearings are usually the cause. Replacing them before they fail completely prevents more expensive hub damage.
Routine Maintenance
Trailer wheel bearings should be inspected regularly, especially if you submerge your trailer during launches. Saltwater accelerates wear on bearing surfaces. Repack or replace bearings at least once a season for best results.
