My Pizza & Toffee Apples in the 1950’s tells of the childhood of a little girl born in 1947, the baby boom year. Her family is made up of a mother, Italian to the soul and of a Maltese father, British in his upbringing and ways. Her little sister, Daniela, is part of the family but so is Pat’s friend Roy, her childhood companion. The 1950’s were a time of great change, of historical moments which affected people’s lives and were to change the world forever.
