Notary Assistant

LAFERLA & LAFERLA NOTARIES

LAFERLA & LAFERLA NOTARIES is currently looking to recruit a Notary Assistant to joint their team on a full time basis.

The chosen candidate will be working under the direction of the senior partners within the firm and the main responsibilities will include:
• Communication and liaising with clients
• Assisting in due diligence processes and providing ongoing support to clients
• Compiling and vetting of documents
• Dealing with day-to-day regulatory activities and Liaising with clients, banks, lawyers and government departments
• Assisting in the compilation of documents necessary for the publication of deeds of sale
• Vetting of searches
• Drafting of deeds, promises of sales and other documents
• Any other duty which may be required from time to time

The chosen candidate will receive full training and support in the performance of his / her day-to day duties.
This vacancy is for 40 Hours of work from 0900 to 1700 hours on a five day weekly basis

Qualifications

The right candidate would preferably have the following skills and abilities:
• The ability to communicate, co-ordinate and work in a fast-paced environment of a young and dynamic team.
• An effective planner with proven time management skills and attention to detail.
• An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion.
• Comprehensive capabilities in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written in Maltese and English.
• Mathematical proficiency
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent multitasker with the ability to meet deadlines
• Previous experience in a Notarial/ Legal environment will be considered an asset.
