JL was established in 2016 with the aim of providing a complete solution for the clients’ electrical and mechanical needs. As a business, it can provide a complete package starting from design up to implementation stage. Apart from carrying out both new installations and modifications, we also install EV charging points, power factor correction units and we build/alter electrical switch boards. It is a fast-growing business working with various established clients and has several projects in the pipeline. The vacancies available are for an electrical installer/electrician and assistant with the main duties highlighted below.

Main duties:
• General electrical installation / alteration works according to BS 7671.
• Installation of cable trays / trunking.
• Passing and termination of cables.
• Carrying out installation works as per technical drawings prepared by the engineer.
• Fault finding and electrical repairs.
• Installation and wiring of distribution boards.
• Meet clients and prepare list of material.

Qualifications

Requirements:
• Have a minimum 5 years’ experience on installation works.
• Be able to use power tools.
• Be keen to detail.
• Has knowledge of health and safety regulation and able to carry out a basic risk assessment before starting any job and respect the risk assessments carried out by the safety officer. The perfect candidate must be knowledgeable on the PPE to use to carry his day-to-day duties.
• Ready to work at height using ladders, scaffolding or scissor lifters.
• Have the required electrical licence or be ready to take all the training necessary to get the required electrical licences.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing will be considered an asset.
