Labourers - Construction Workers

ICI Group is seeking to employ individuals with a passion for construction to join our team.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for:

- Cutting and shaping bricks/stones as per project requirements.
- Safely lifting, carrying, and placing prepared blocks.
- Expertise in shuttering and concrete laying.
- Mixing cement and mortar on-site as needed.
- Reading and interpreting site plans effectively.
- Identifying and addressing any safety hazards while promptly reporting them to the responsible Foreman.
- Skillfully erecting walls using various bearing elements like brick, bond stone, gypsum blocks, etc.
- Building sturdy stone walls to high standards.
- Operating of common builders' machinery proficiently.
- Assembling support structures such as scaffolds, braces, and platforms when required.
- Undertaking any other duties that align with the position.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in on-site construction.
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending construction plans.
- Self-motivation and a strong ability to work effectively within a team.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- A good understanding and adherence to Health and Safety procedures.
