Legion Jiu-Jitsu Academy, a reputable martial arts academy located in Pembroke, Malta, is seeking a passionate and experienced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Trainer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a proven track record of teaching and inspiring students of all ages and levels.

Responsibilities:

- Conducting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for students of varying skill levels, including beginners, intermediate, and advanced practitioners.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive training programs tailored to the specific needs and goals of individual students.
- Providing hands-on instruction, guidance, and feedback to help students improve their techniques, tactics, and overall performance.
- Demonstrating proper techniques, movements, and strategies in a clear and effective manner.
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement, motivation, and growth.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensuring the safety of all students by enforcing proper training protocols and techniques.
- Assisting with the promotion and marketing of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes and events to attract new students and retain existing ones.
- Collaborating with other instructors and staff members to coordinate class schedules, events, and promotions.
- Continuously expanding personal knowledge and skills through training, workshops, seminars, and competitions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Recognized rank or belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (e.g., purple/ brown/ black belt) from a reputable organization.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with a strong understanding of fundamental techniques, principles, and philosophies.
- Proven experience teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes to students of all ages and skill levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey instructions and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong leadership qualities, including patience, empathy, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- Fluency in English (additional language proficiency is a plus).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate class schedules and events.
