Senior Supervisor Front of house staff

Primary Objectives:
We are looking for an experienced, passionate Senior Supervisor to lead the Front of House (FOH) team on a Full-Time basis. As a Senior Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day running of the restaurant and ensure that the standards are maintained throughout by always demonstrating a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the floor to ensure that all standards and steps of service are met through all guests’ interactions.
• Organize, supervise shifts and assist in the weekly staff rotas.
• Ensure that checklists, requisitions, and proper opening and closing functions are completed each shift.
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
• Promote and market the business by managing the restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it, as well as build the restaurant's reputation through TripAdvisor and other review platforms.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.
• Observe staff performance and provide feedback, encouraging improvement where necessary.
• Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings to communicate pertinent information to the staff.
• Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy restaurant activity, serving as a role model for the staff and other restaurant employees.
• Interact positively with customers, promoting restaurant facilities and services.
• Assist the Operations Manager in training, counselling, and disciplining staff.

• Answer telephones clearly, coordinate, and document reservations.
• Work diligently with the POS system, entering orders and making corrections if necessary.
• Make menu recommendations, answer questions, and share additional information with restaurant patrons.
• Organize and set up special events in the restaurant, such as receptions and other events, ensuring that event-related tasks are delivered professionally.
• Conduct the closing of the daily cash and monthly inventory.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Assist and coordinate with the sales and marketing executive.
• Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager and the Directors.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar managerial role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software and POS systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
