HVAC TECHNICIAN

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of large, small, and complex heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment for commercial applications. The HVAC Technician possesses advanced knowledge in the heating and air conditioning trade.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Diagnosis of HVAC equipment electrical and mechanical failures
· Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
· Performs repairs on HVAC equipment including boilers, air conditioning units, chillers, and numerous other types of HVAC and refrigeration systems
· Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
· Maintains daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
· Installs HVAC and building automation systems and equipment
· Installs ductwork, low voltage controls, gas piping, and ventilation systems
· Remodels existing systems
· Responsible for rough-in and final trim of new systems
· Performs all HVAC and automation preventative maintenance
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· A Higher Trade School Diploma in HVAC technician or equivalent
· Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols
· Proven experience in a similar role
· Good communication skills
· Good attention to detail
· Must have excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and solution-providing skills
· Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative.
· Good interpersonal skills and communication with clients and team members
