Assistant to the Health and Safety Supervisor

Khiron Security Ltd is seeking to recruit a dedicated full-time Assistant to the Health and Safety Supervisor for an ongoing project in the North of Malta. The successful applicant will oversee and implement the site Health & Safety plan and report to the site’s Health & Safety Practitioner or the Health & Safety Supervisor.

Job Details:

You will be tasked with the following key duties:
• Assist the H&S Supervisor to promptly implement safety measures (hoarding, pedestrian walkways, signage, lighting, etc.) on site relating to worker and site user safety.
• Ensure all safety equipment and tools are in proper working condition
• Ensure personnel on site are wearing personal protective equipment
• Prevent unauthorized access to the site
• Report any H&S infringements, compile incident and accident reports and recommend preventive measures
• Participate in health and safety meetings and audits
• Support compliance with all health and safety regulations

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge required for the role:

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in construction related projects
• The chosen candidate should possess a NEBOSH International General Certificate (or equivalent) or a degree in Health and Safety (or equivalent)
• The chosen candidate needs to be mature, proactive and with strong observation and analytical skills
• S/He must be fluent in English language and able to communicate effectively – both written and verbal
• Should be conversant with all MS Office applications.
