Delivery Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the safe and timely delivery of food products, supporting loading and unloading operations, and ensuring that all delivery tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

As a Delivery Assistant, your primary duties will include:

1) Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles, including verifying orders, part numbers, and product quantities to ensure correct delivery.

2) Supporting the safe and on-time delivery of food products by following established delivery routes, schedules, and safety procedures.

3) Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including quantities, delivery times, addresses, and payment details (if applicable), and submitting all documentation in a timely manner.

4) Ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and roadworthiness of the delivery vehicle, including washing and basic upkeep of the vehicle's interior and exterior.

5) Complying with all policies, operational procedures, and road safety regulations, maintaining a professional appearance, and ensuring the safety of the products during transport.

6) Interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring products are delivered to the correct location and confirming customer satisfaction.

7) Assisting in addressing any delivery-related issues, such as delays or customer complaints, and reporting them to the Employer.

8) Regularly reporting delivery schedules, issues, and any route changes to ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.

Qualifications

Experience:
-Previous experience in delivery or transportation is a plus but not mandatory.

Skills and Knowledge:
-Strong attention to detail
-Good organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
-Good communication skills to interact with clients and report delivery issues effectively.
