Located at the iconic Mercury Tower, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, TORO TORO is a well-established and highly acclaimed restaurant. We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate Food Runner to join our team and contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Position Overview
The Food Runner plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of food from the kitchen to guests’ tables. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to excellence in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Work closely with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate the timely delivery of food orders.
-Ensure accuracy when delivering dishes to the correct tables, following order specifications and special requests.
-Maintain a solid understanding of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests and answer inquiries.
-Monitor food presentation and quality, immediately communicating any issues or discrepancies to the kitchen team.
-Assist with clearing tables, bussing, and resetting dining areas to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
-Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to prioritize orders during peak service hours.
-Uphold food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times, including proper food handling and cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
-Provide outstanding customer service by addressing guest concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
-Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
-Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support daily restaurant operations.
Qualifications
-Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred, but not required.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in food delivery.
-Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak dining hours.
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
-Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is an advantage.
-Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and procedures.
