Key Responsibilities
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other construction materials.
Install doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, roofing, and other wooden structures.
Construct and install frameworks, partitions, formwork, and staircases.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Repair and replace damaged wooden structures and fixtures.
Ensure all work complies with building codes, project specifications, and safety regulations.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades on construction projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a carpenter in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
Knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with building codes and workplace safety regulations.
Physical fitness to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
