Hammett's Macina Restaurant
We are looking for the perfect candidates who will be employed on a full time permanent basis and responsible for creative, first class food to an esteemed clientele within our restaurant which serves Modern Mediterranean fusion cuisine, has an extensive wine list and is located within a luxury hotel hosting spectacular vies of Birgu City and the Grand Harbour.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hero-ing the menu by creating and delivering the perfect dishes with a modern Mediterranean and creative flair that is always up to standard and unique in the market.
- Ensuring consistency through up-keeping quality and training other members of the kitchen staff to guarantee delivery of quality every time.
- Stock management through ensuring the best quality local produce. Maintaining and growing key supplier relationships. Up-keep of quantities of stock are maintained for service.
- Managing staff roster by effectively organising or assisting with the kitchen staff schedule for shifts.
Qualifications
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in catering
- Good communication skills and an outgoing personality. Good command of the English language and a second language will be an asset.
- In possession of all necessary work permits to work in Malta
- Training in Culinary Arts or equivalent
- The candidate must be able to works efficiently, have good physical stamina, creative flair, maintain a flexible schedule, have excellent organisational skills, a team mentality and leadership skills
