We’re looking for a Developer with at least 2 years of commercial experience who has
strong experience with JavaScript, C++ and Django. You should be comfortable with front
end frameworks as well as server-side web frameworks.

Your role, on behalf of Racing Traders Ltd, will be to add functionality to BetTrader, the first
trading application for Betfair.

You will be improving the tools our BetTrader for Betfair and BetTrader for Matchbook
trading subscribers use every day.

Your skills and experience will help us to build on an already successful trading application
which runs in Chrome and Firefox.

In this role you will:

Work remotely to implement technical solutions to solve key trading requirements.

Use your experience to suggest alternatives or to evaluate options.

Work independently and have a keen eye for Design and UX.

Improve coding standards.

The ability to evolve our technical direction and best practices.

Primary Technologies Used:

Languages: Java, C++, .Django

Databases: MariaDB/MySQL, Postgres

Servers: Mixture of our own hosted network and cloud services on AWS

During our interview process we’ll want to see that you have extensive experience as
outlined above.

We’re also expecting that from time to time you’ll be able to assist with cases that are
outside of your specialism.

Qualifications

Computing, Science, Engineering or Mathematics degree or equivalent experience
coupled with a proven ability to solve problems with code.

2+ years of experience of software development.

Able to build highly interactive web tools using modern Javascript frameworks.

Knowledge of data visualisation approaches and technologies.

Top communication skills & ability to “own” the software development processes.

is also nearly complete. It is the only fast browser-based software for betting & trading.

BetTrader is a fast Betfair sports trading software application displaying live updating
Betfair prices in a choice of trading interfaces with blazing fast bet submission and a range
of trading tools.

Racing Traders has been producing trading software for use with Betfair since 2005, being
the first API trading application to introduce the ladder interface.

We take full advantage of the Betfair API and refresh prices every 200 milliseconds.
BetTrader allows traders to place orders faster and get the best prices.

The ladder interface shows all available prices, volume traded & amounts available.
