Mechanic

1) Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, pumps and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, etc.
2) Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical equipment in operation (sometimes through use of precision measuring and testing instruments);
3) Repairs on mechanical systems by dismantling devices using hand and power tools, hoists, etc.
4) Determines and locates changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts;
5) Controls downtime by informing production management of routine preventive maintenance and monitoring;
6) Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment;
7) Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels
8) Anticipates needed equipment, parts and supplies
9) Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, etc.
10) Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with usual procedures

Qualifications

Must be able to communicate in English
Must be willing to work on 3 shift
Must have a MQF 3
