IT/ Network Support Technician

• Installation & configuration of a company’s computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Maintenance and monitoring of computer networks and systems.
• Logging the queries of customers and employees.
• Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
• Testing and evaluating new technology.
• Following instructions, either written or in diagram form, to set up a system or fix a fault.
• Assure network infrastructure is secure, running smoothly, and appropriately backed up.
• Maintain storage for all equipment at our base in Dublin.
• Maintain a stock inventory system.
• Remote, email and telephone support to installation sites
• Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting.
• Adhere to strict IT policies and standards.
Qualifications
Experience Required
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar IT Support role is essential.
Essential and Desirable Skills
· An understanding of networking technologies and troubleshooting.
· Ability to work on own initiative, attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload essential.
· Willing to work out of hours and weekends from time to time if needed.
· Fluent English Speaker with Full clean driving licence required.
Educational Requirements
· Leaving Certificate or equivalent at a minimum
