Under intense sunlight and high summer temperatures, even good-quality PVC inflatable kayaks with glued seams can be subjected to considerable stress and may eventually suffer from seam separation.


This kayak is now 9 years old and has never had a seam come unstuck or delaminated. It has naturally had a hard life and shows signs of use, including some previous puncture repairs, marks and dirt, but the structure and welded seams remain solid and reliable.
