A unique opportunity to buy a genuine, early-20th-century antique Ship's Engine Room Order Telegraph head. This authentic maritime artifact was manufactured by the renowned Scottish marine engineering firm Mechans Limited based in Scotstoun, Glasgow.
The front features a beautiful, clean porcelain enamel face plate with dual-colored traditional ship commands (Ahead/Astern, Full, Half, Slow, Stand By, Stop) and the original selector handle lever.
Please note: This antique has been safely stored in a garage for many years. The porcelain face and handle are in excellent, highly clear condition. The outer iron/brass housing and rear mount show heavy surface rust and storage patina from age, making it an excellent, authentic restoration project or a rustic display piece for a bar, home office, or collection.
