The car was dry-stored from 1967 to 1995 before being restored with new rubbers etc around 20 years ago. It was then dry-stored again for the past 10 years. The engine was also rebuilt around a decade ago but has hardly been used since. New carpets have just been fitted. The odometer shows 08801 miles (which is 108,801 miles according to the paperwork, although some of that was on a replacement engine).

The history file dates back to 1956 and includes the V5C, original logbook, photos, and selected MoTs back to 1966. There's also invoices back to the 1960s, a book on The Beetle: Production History of the People's Car and one on The 1949-1959 VW Beetle Authenticity Series plus an instruction manual and service booklet.
